Fishing Closures Announced For SEQ

Fisheries Queensland today announced fishing closures for snapper, pearl perch and teraglin from the 15th February 2011 to 31st March 2011. The closures apply to charter, recreation and commerical fishing. QCVA is reviewing the information and will provide more information in the coming days, as well as details of cooperation indsutry research on the affects of the closures to the fish populations and socio-economic impacts of the closures on the charter fishing industry.
